Biography

After graduating from The University of Melbourne in 2000, Tim McCurdy has worked exclusively in the private clinic setting, helping people rehabilitate from sports injuries, back pain and work-related conditions.

Drawing on this experience, Tim uses a wide variety of techniques to ensure patients receive individualised treatment and a tailored injury-management program that aims to help achieve their goals.

Tim is passionate about the management and rehabilitation of acute sports injuries for all ages, with a particular focus on adolescent sports. He focuses on identifying the underlying cause of the injury with his younger clients to minimise reoccurrence. This may mean providing postural advice or working with sporting coaches on alterations to technique or training.

Chronic pain management is another special interest for Tim, and he is keen to help people improve their quality of life through education, goal setting and establishing a balanced lifestyle. Tim understands that some conditions don’t always recover in full and believes it’s really important that he works with the individual to align rehabilitation with their life, work and sport objectives.

Outside of work, Tim loves playing golf and cycling. He is an amateur wine-maker and is looking forward to his next overseas adventure (whenever that time comes!).
